My name is Pat Ball, and I am the gifted teacher for Brindlee Mountain Elementary, DAR and Brindlee Mountain Middle Schools.  This year is my 27th year as an educator.  I have taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 5th grades at the elementary level, and 1 year of high school health science.  This is my 10th year teaching gifted students.  My home base is Brindlee Mountain Elementary.  My schedule this year will bring me to Brindlee Elementary on Mondays and Fridays.  I will be on the DAR campuses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  First Tuesday of each month I will be teaching DAR middle school (6th-8th grade), and the first Thursday of each month I will teaching  Brindlee Middle students. I am looking forward to our adventures together this year:)

I love teaching gifted students-I learn something new every day!

Elementary classes (3-5th) meet weekly for three hours each morning.  We will be studying about disasters and disaster preparedness.  We will take a look at some of the world's most infamous disasters such as the crash of the Hindenburg and the sinking of the Titanic. Along with this we will study the history of the period and some of the people connected to these disasters.

The entire gifted classes of Marshall County plan to once again go  Christmas caroling at a couple of the local health facilitates.  More information to follow as we get closer to Christmas.

Middle school (6-8th) meets monthly in a seminar format.  We study career paths, decision making, and current topics and events.  The main objective is to guide students to becoming individuals who have good coping skills, positive attitudes, and the ability to be successful in life.
